About Foothills Sheffield

Founded in 1993, Foothills is an independent walking shop built on experience, knowledge, and a genuine love of the outdoors. Today, our team brings together over 75 years of collective experience in hiking boots, outdoor clothing and specialist equipment.

You’ll find us in the leafy suburb of Nether Edge, Sheffield — just 3 miles from the city centre, less than 5 miles from the Peak District National Park boundary, and around 15 minutes from Hathersage. We’re ideally placed for walkers heading into the Peaks.

Over the decades, we’ve built a reputation for friendly, knowledgeable service — with professional boot fitting becoming something of a speciality. Rambling groups across South Yorkshire and Derbyshire know us well, and we’ve grown steadily thanks to customers who value proper advice and long-term comfort over quick sales.

We’re proud to operate as Rohan Sheffield, stocking the current Rohan range, and we are also a Páramo Authorised Reseller. Alongside this, we stock a carefully selected range of trusted footwear brands including Altberg, Meindl, Scarpa, and many others, chosen for quality, durability and fit.
